Just A Little Bigger Would Be Nice - 06/03/14

I don't know what you were thinking but this entry is about my garage.  I was in mine  before work today getting rid of the bugs and things that love to die around the blinds trying to get out.  Crazy how quickly that builds up.
We actually keep our cars in the garage.  When they're in there, there isn't much room for anything else.  If you don't have a basement and most people in middle Tennessee don't, the garage is where you put your "stuff."
It would cost so little to make some room for storage out there when you're building.  If I was a contractor, I'd design a home with a good place to store lawn mower and tools and the stuff everyone who has a family and owns a home needs.
  Just saying.

GOP 2016-PAUL-MARIJUANA

DENVER (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul is looking for some green from the pot biz. The Kentucky senator sought donations from the newly legal weed business yesterday. He met with donors at the Cannabis Business Summit in Denver. Tickets for the fundraiser started at $2,700. In public remarks after the event, Paul didn't mention marijuana and didn't take questions from most reporters.

NBA JERSEYS

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- It's LeBron James versus Stephen Curry, again. And Curry is the winner, again. Curry's jersey is the top seller for the first time. The Golden State Warriors star and league MVP is the best-seller, according to the NBAStore.com. James held the top spot at the end of the regular season, but drops to second. The latest figures cap Curry's incredible year. He led the Warriors to a franchise-record 67 wins -- plus 16 more in the playoffs -- and their first championship in 40 years. His Warriors beat James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games for the NBA crown.

SNAKE-MUSEUM TOILET

ARCHER CITY, Texas (AP) -- There was an unwelcome visitor at a North Texas museum -- a nearly 6-foot-long snake. Mary Ann Levy was opening the museum when she spotted the rat snake curled up in a toilet. Sheriff's Deputy Tina Robertson was supervising an inmate crew mowing at the nearby courthouse. A trusty happened to know about snakes and he helped capture the creature. Levy can laugh about it now. She tells the Wichita Falls Times Record News at least the snake now doesn't have a pot to "hiss in."

NATIONAL MALL-FOOD SERVICE

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Visitors to the National Mall in Washington have some new food options. The National Park Service says concession provider Guest Services is expanding choices at six kiosks. The new options include gluten-free and vegetarian choices. One food station at the Lincoln Memorial will have a specialty burger each month, along with black bean and Boca burgers. At the National Museum of Natural History, a kiosk will have specialty barbecue items. For desert, the food stations will offer seasonal fresh fruit, pies and cheesecakes.
