NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Hudson Mortimer's face is a reminder of what he says was a beating so severe he barely remembers it. It all happened during a rowdy performance Friday night by Yelawolf at Marathon Music Works. Mortimer says for reasons he still doesn't know a bouncer violently pulled him out of the crowd. Hayley Mortimer says the ensuing beating was out of line.
Mortimer says her husband didn't regain consciousness for about 7 hours. The couple is telling us the story in hopes someone comes forward who saw it, but there is another side. Club owners decided not to do an interview, but sent us the initial police report that called it an accident. Security told police it was Mortimer who refused to leave after causing a scene, and then fell and hit his head while security escorted him out.
It's a story Mortimer's friends and wife disagree with as they say he did nothing to deserve this.
