ANGELES, Cali.—An attorney dealing with alcohol and gambling addictions
is raising the stakes on Fox 17 Thursday nights. “Rake” premiered

Lewis caught up with star and co-executive producer, Greg Kinnear in
come to the American television following an Australian show of the
same name. It follows a comedic, yet chaotic life of criminal defense
lawyer, Keegan Deane.
Greg Kinnear said, " Doesn't care what you think about him. Listen…he's a mess."
Academy Award nominee and Emmy award winner, Kinnear said that he was drawn to the complex character.
Kinnear explained, "Strangely, I really felt like there is a guy there
in spite of these shortcomings and personal land mines that he is
setting off in his own
life. I still was ultimately wishing good things for him."
character takes on cases that no one else will touch, but with plenty
of wit. Kinnear’s co-stars’ characters add to the layers of the show
Zadegan as Scarlet. She is one of Keegan’s old friends and often his
opponent in court as the Assistant District Attorney.
Necar Zadegan said, "I think it's very real, layered and three-dimensional and that's what I like about it."
Tara Summers plays Keegan’s over-qualified assistant, Leanne.
Tara Summers explained, "So funny, so well written, dark at times, it really surprised me."
Greg Kinnear said, "Luxury to have this cast in the show, it follows its own beat."
