Nashville, Tenn --- Like most Bachelorette parties you see in downtown Nashville, the one Briana Unger was a part of Monday involved a lot of pictures.

She's storing all those memories not just on her phone but also on iCloud.
"It's just a good way to back up your pictures in case I drop my phone," said Unger.

This week she may have good reason to question just how private those photos really are.

Over the weekend hackers leaked a number of celebrity nude photos online including Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and model Kate Upton.

The FBI and Apple are investigating to see if those photos were somehow taken from a cloud service.

James KempVanEe with Logic Force in Nashville says it should be a warning to all of us.

"If you don't want someone to know about your data it need not be on the web and you need to have control where it's going," said KempVanEe.

You may be uploading some of that data unknowingly as some phones are set to upload photos automatically to the cloud.

One way to protect sensitive data is to encrypt it.

There are plenty of aps that will do the job but KempVanEe says you wanna read the fine print.

"Those free services although they may encrypt it or tell you they encrypt it they may not actually be true encryption," said KempVanEe.
