LOS ANGELES, California - We got to see the Top 16 perform LIVE for the first time on FOX17, including country singer Rachel Potter, a bartender, who lives in Music City.

Rachel sang "I Hope You Dance" and got great reviews from all the judges. Rachel was the first person that Kelly deemed "safe". She will be back to sing for your votes. We actually featured Rachel in a Music City Beat "One to Watch" segment well before she auditioned for XFactor. To see that story, CLICK HERE.

The girls, mentored by Demi Lavato, went first. All 4 sang and Demi had to pick one to go home. She sent home Dani, who sang the Miley Cyrus song "Wrecking Ball". The judges said they were expecting more and that her performance lacked energy.

Josh Levi was the first guy to go home in the competition. Paulina is their mentor, so she had to make the hard decision. The judges said that Josh had so much potential, but that they felt detached. Simon gave him a 6 out of 10.

The over 25 category, mentored by Kelly Rowland, was a really tough competition. That's the category Nashville's Rachel Potter is in. You at home put Jeff and Rachel in the top, and Kelly agreed. It was between James and Lillie, and she decided to send James home.

Last but not least, the group category. That is Roxxy Montana, who Simon had a tough time sending home. He didn't want to do it, but he had to pick someone.

All 4 groups got nothing but rave reviews. The only criticism Roxxy received was that their harmonies could have been a little tighter.

The XFactor results show will air pending World Series baseball here on FOX17. Make sure you stay connected to our webpage, Facebook or Twitter to find out exactly when that results show will be.
