Dictionaries: Now Dumber Than Ever?

The dictionary has some new words in it this morning, and unsurprisingly, a lot of them are likely part of your smartphone's vocabulary already.

The latest edition of the Chambers Dictionary in Britain includes YOLO, the abbreviation for you only live once.

Joining it are hashtag, selfie, and tweep, or someone who uses the Twitter online message service to send and receive tweets.

Totes amazeballs, which has been used on cereal boxes and popularized by Charlatans' singer Tim Burgess made it in as well.

It means totally amazing by the way.

Whatev now officially shortens whatever.

And some newer adult language also slipped in there including: cougar (not the animal), friends with benefits, sexting and MILF.
