Google's latest idea for ads could have shoppers cruising town to take advantage of specially tailored deals for free. You may start seeing a "get me there" button on ads in the future that would automatically send a taxi or even one of Google's own automated vehicles to wherever you're waiting.
Google says algorithms would automatically compare the cost of transportation and potential profit, using real-time calculations. Those same calculations could even lead to a bidding war for certain customers with a known interest in particular products.
Still in a concept stage right now, Google, ebay and a number of other sites have been courting restaurants and businesses recently by offering a unique leg-up on their online rivals.
