A teen in Washington is fired after wearing a Bronco's jersey to work.
Nathaniel Wentz, 17, was told he could wear his favorite team's jersey to work during Sunday's championship games, but when he got there his manager sent him home to change. That ticked his dad off.
The owner allegedly wouldn't take the father's calls. The next day Wentz found out he was fired for not returning to work.
After the story got out, the company released a statement on its Facebook page saying on days where the Seahawks play, employees are only allowed to swap out their normal uniform with a Seahawks jersey.
Even if Wentz was fired solely for his choice in jerseys, his employer had every right. In Washington, they have a common law right to terminate for no cause.
