A teacher in Russia is fighting back against homophobia, but now her support for gay rights has her under investigation by the local education department.
Teacher Ekaterina Bogach is one of the few straight gay rights activists in a country where people are usually attacked or arrested for protesting. She says when discrimination starts in one part of society it inevitably leads to other parts.
Bogach was inspired to act because of an orthodox Christian, proposing the gay propaganda law, which would make it illegal to tell children gay and straight relationships are equal.
Russian politicians say the gay propaganda law is designed to protect children. Bogach says its purpose is to divide society and to boost intolerance.
