State's Hot Car Legislation

A bill aimed at protecting children left in hot cars in Tennessee will go into effect next week.
The bill allows you to break into someone's car to get a trapped child out.
So far this summer, 13 children nationwide have died from heatstroke after being left in a car.
Through 2012, Tennessee ranked fourth in the nation for child deaths in hot cars.
The bill goes into effect July 1.
