After days of living without water, Melissa Hershkaowitz finally has it back. But just because her faucets are flowing again doesn't mean her family will drink what's coming out of them.
"We didn't have water anywhere until they came and unclogged it," she said. "And it happened twice."
The Brentwood resident is one of many in the area that has had problems with their water lately.
The Nolensville College Grove Utolity District recently found dirt, mud and COLIFORM in its water. Field supervisor Mark Polston blames the contamination on the construction of a new water line.
"We put it in service Friday before the Monday this happened," he said. "There must have been a pocket of dirty water in there and it got over to our customers."
NCG has since isolated the line, tested the water and say its fine to drink.
But Hershkaowitz isn't buying it. Her family has used bottled water for the past week.
"We're going to continue to do that until we feel it's safe to drink the water," she said.
