Midstate developer Tony Giarratana says the failure of a luxury hotel project in the shadow of the Music City Center is no reflection on Nashville's prospects.
Giarratan planned to build a 400-room Marriott on 8th Avenue right beside the new convention center. A lack of investors with a lot of ready cash forced him to walk away from the deal, but Giarratana — who has several other projects in the works, including this new upscale apartment development on Elliston Place — says Nashville is still a good buy.
