NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A man broke into an east Nashville church, stole items and pawned them before returning to the scene of the crime to be caught.

The Shelby Avenue Baptist Church was burglarized yesterday at around 7:30 p.m.  Metro police say 40-year-old Donald Grey is the suspect.

Police caught Grey just before 11 p.m. laying in the foyer of the church.
He set off the alarm when he broke the door and window getting back in.

Earlier in the day, Grey admits to stealing an electric guitar, an acoustic guitar, a DVD player and a TV from the church. He sold the equipment to individuals and a Cash America pawn shop on Gallatin Pike.
