FRANKLIN, Tenn.-- A former employee and resident of Wyndchase Apartments reached out to Fox 17, after our story on the brown recluse infestation aired this week.
Brooke Tolzmann saw the story about Tom Baum and his family, dealing with the spiders and management.
Tolzmann and her husband, Mitch moved into Wyndchase in 2012 with their 15-month at the time. Tolzmann says she worked in the leasing office part-time in 2009 and lived in a different building.
The Tolzmanns and Baums say they were welcomed to their new apartments with a
brown recluse infestation and management finally offered to let them break
their leases waiving any fees.
Tolzmann says, " They've been letting people break their leases for years
because of the infestation and it's never been properly addressed."
Tolzmann says, "It seemed like their solution was those traps."
say they paid a monthly pest control fee and management only sent an exterminator to treat their unit after
insisting--just like the Baums.
property required the tenants to catch a spider to prove it's a brown recluse,
the couples said.
Fox 17 reached out to the property's legal department several times and we are still waiting for a reply.
