Three men in Georgia have been arrested for the alleged rape, shooting and burning of a woman who somehow survived the tragic event which occurred on January 1st.
According to the Ledger-Enquirer, Joey Garron, Robert Johnson and Ketorie Glover of Columbus, Georgia face charges of aggravated assault, rape, kidnapping, aggravated sodomy, arson and hijacking of a motor vehicle.
The incident took place during a New Year's Eve/Day party in which the accused and the female victim entered into a "spirited" rap contest. The contest became heated at some point and the woman was then held at gunpoint and forced into her car by the three men.
She was then driven to a lot where she was raped, soaked in gasoline, set on fire and then shot several times.
Police received a call of a person calling out for help and found the 36-year-old woman in the field and still alive. She was taken to a local hospital where she has been treated for her injuries.
