Hostages Safe Following Standoff at Lawrenceburg Pharmacy

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. -- Hostages okay after standoff with robber in Lawrenceburg pharmacy.
Police initially responded to the Walmart on North Locust Avenue Thursday regarding an armed shoplifter in the bathroom. The suspect, they now identify as 36-year-old Robert Dillon, escaped from inside the store and took off in an SUV.
Dillon led police to the CVS on East Gaines Street, where he ran inside with the gun and demanded drugs from the pharmacist. Several customers and employees were inside at the time.
Police disarmed Dillon after about an hour without further incident and arrested him on aggravated robbery charges. He is being held without bond. Dillon also faces additional charges.
