Ky. Police Investigate Fatal Crash

Kentucky State Police is investigating a two-vehicle, fatal collision that happened on KY 139, just south of Creswell Hill, on Tuesday at about 3:04 p.m., according to a release to the media on Wednesday.
Christopher C. Caraway, 29, of Princeton, Ky., was driving a 1991 Mazda RX7 southbound on KY 139. Brian A. Samuels, 29, of Princeton, Ky., was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck northbound on KY 139 when Samuels apparently veered into the southbound lane and struck Caraway’s vehicle head-on, the investigation has revealed.
Caraway was being LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center when the helicopter had to be diverted to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Caraway died from his injuries at JSMC.
Samuels and the passenger, his 6-year-old son, were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Their condition was not released. Samuels' son was restrained in a booster seat.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The release did not indicate if charges are pending.
