Lebanon Explosion: Richard Parker Appears in Court for Murder of Jon and Marion Setzer

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Richard Parker, the man accused of killing Jon and Marion Setzer with an explosive package at their Lebanon home, appeared in court today for the first time since his the announcement of his arrest.

Appearing in orange prison garb, Parker told the judge he is unable to make the $1 million dollar bond. Parker also stated he has not hired an attorney. His next court appearance has been scheduled for April 8th.
The District Attorney's Office says the investigation is on-going.
Parker is accused of killing his in-laws at their home after a package exploded. Jon Setzer died at the scene and Marion Setzer was left in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center until she also died due to her injuries. Parker was married to the Setzer's daughter and lived on the Lebanon property. The announcement he had been charged with their murder shocked the community and church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher.
Funeral services for Jon and Marion will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 510 Woodland Street, Nashville.
The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.
