More Than 2 lbs. of Meth Found in Cadiz, Ky. Traffic Stop

CADIZ, Ky. -- More than 2 lbs. of methamphetamine are found in a car during a traffic stop in Cadiz.

Kentucky State Police pulled the car over along I-24 Thursday morning after a trooper observed several indicators of criminal activity. A search found 2.2 lbs. of meth and five grams of marijuana, after K9 indicated there were drugs inside.

The driver, 27-year-old Marcos Meza-Carmona, of Nebraska, ran after the drugs were discovered, but was quickly apprehended. Two other occupants in the car, 24-year-old Carmona Maza, of Illinois, and 21-year-old Raul Shaec, 21, of Nebraska, were also arrested.

All are charged with trafficking and booked in the Christian County Detention Facility.
