Pro-Pet Issues Recall For Some Dog, Cat Food Brands Due to Salmonella

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Tennessee is among the states Pro-Pet LLC. is recalling dog and cat food brands due to salmonella.
Hubbard, Life dog & cat food, Joy Combo cat food and QC Plus dog food were the brands listed by the FDA in a press release last week. There have not yet been reports of illness or contamination.
Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky and Texas are also among the states which Pro-Pet has distributed their foods. Symptoms of salmonella include: being lethargic, diarrhea (sometimes with blood in the stool), fever, vomiting or decreased appetite.
Owners who believe their pets have consumed the product are asked to contact their veterinarian.
