Suspect Accused of Assaulting MTA Driver

South Precinct detectives are working to identify the man who is accused of assaulting a Metro Transit Authority driver on June 14 after she told him to get off the bus due to abusive behavior, the Nashville police department said in a press release on Wednesday.

While stopped on Harding Place at Wauford Drive, the victim told the man to get off the bus because of his abusive language and demeanor.  He refused and bumped the driver with his chest. During the struggle, the driver fell down the stairs. The man fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man. He is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds.
