NASHVILLE, Tenn -- "I believe that we will win!"

It's the chant for the U.S. soccer team that's taking the world by storm during the World Cup.

The chant started in the U.S. Naval Academy.

""The first time I did it, would have been September of 99 at an Army Navy game," said Corey Strong of Memphis.

Today the chant rings out in high school and college stadiums across the country.

Every time the U.S. takes the field in Brazil, a worldwide audience hears it too.

Strong says he's honored a chant he helped spark had its roots in the military.

"We're all for our country.  We wear a uniform every day so to be a part of that it's a pretty gratifying feeling."
