WASTE WATCH: City Leaders Could Take Another Step Toward Returning Some of 900 Lights

MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. - A follow up on street lights in McMinnville. Tomorrow night city leaders could take another step toward returning some of the 900 lights taken down 3 years ago to save money. The $32,000 the city was spending on electricity for those lights has been used to repave roads in need of repair. Complaints about the lack of light prompted the city to do an about face. Alderman Billy Wood is on record as saying he's against putting the lights back up because the money is still needed for roads. We'll keep you posted.
