Today no new cases were added, keeping the number of patients at 53, resulting in 6 deaths. Nationwide, the number of cases has gone up. 214 people in 15 states were infected by contaminated steroid injections, resulting in 15 deaths. The FDA is also expanding its concern to a new steroid injection produced by the New England Compounding Center.
