Meningitis Outbreak
Eleven patients were treated for meningitis at one Nashville clinic that
has since closed, according to the Tennessee Department of
Health/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who is investigating.
Two people have died. All patients who had lumbar epidural steroid
injections between July 30 and Sept. 20, have been notified. An update
will be provided today. Anyone with questions can call the Tn.
Department of Health/Tn. Poison Control hotline at 1-800-222-1222.
Though the cause of this form of meningitis is still unknown, this is
