Meningitis Outbreak
TriStar Medical tells FOX17 NEWS that while they haven't received any of the impacted batch of the compounded formula, they have stopped using all of the formulas provided to them from the New England Compounding Center in Massachusetts, believed to be the center of the Meningitis outbreak. TriStar says this is just as an extra precaution for patient safety. This includes the following facilities:
TriStar Stonecrest
TriStar Centennial
TriStar Skyline
TriStar Summit
TriStar Southern Hills
TriStar Horizon
TriStar Hendersonville
TriStar Greenview (Bowling Green, Kentucky)
TriStar tells us there is no record of any indication of complications with any of their recent procedures. They could not tell us right now approximately how many NECC provided formulas have been administered in the past couple of weeks. Their spokesperson added that "the level of communication between TriStar's medical professionals and health officials is extremely high right now".
