So while the loyalty card saves her money...it's also used to build a profile of holmes...to analyze her response to advertising and promotional material.
Other stores like Publix, don't have a card...but do have loyalty clubs...like the baby club.
Which sends new parents hefty coupons for formula, diapers even free books on parenting.
When it comes to shopping at the grocery, typically loyalty programs can save you up to $50 dollars every time you visit.
However, data collected over the years shows some stores with loyalty programs tend to mark up their every day prices on non-member, non sale products...by as much as 28% to 71%.
Bottom line, shop the sales and use your card...and you'll come out ahead.
But if you shop a store with no loyalty program...the prices on a number of products are lower anyway.
