A mixture fo flowers with or without roses sprinkled in will cut your costs up to $50. Consider giving him or her the flowers Monday, a day ahead of time, because many florists don't institute their Valentine's rates until the actual day. Some florists charge more for long stemmed roses, so ask for the standard length to save. Don't forget about your grocery store or warehouse retailer where you can find roses for 25-50% less.
