Calling all first-time fathers: There's a FREE boot camp for new dads Saturday morning from 8:30-11:30am at Nashville General Hospital. The class, in Conference Room A, teaches everything from diaper changing, to burping, to feeding. Pack your diaper bag and show up. The new mom will love you for it!
For the rest of the year, there is no charge to tour the Mt. Pleasant Maury Museum of Local History on the town square. The museum focuses on the role the phosphate industry played in the community. There's even a dinosaur bone on display that was discovered during the phosphate mining days.
