A Smith County woman is using the power of social media to help families in a financial bind.
She started two WeeCycle Facebook pages to recycle clothing, household items and kid stuff.
It services families in six Midstate counties including Smith, Wilson, DeKalb, Putnam, Overton and White Counties.
Here's how it works.

She's
a healthy baby girl, but this Carthage mom had a complicated pregnancy
--- that forced her to leave work a well before baby Milly was born.

Guffey Going from a steady income to absolutely nothing especially 4
weeks before you thought you would.. we were broker than broke.
Then Guffey discovered Wee Cycle--- a Facebook page that's about more than status updates.
Guffey
says: I got this vaccum cleaner.. I was on maternity leave at the time
and ours died and I had no way to get another one...and I received this
johnny jumper over here. you can put her in it and it makes her legs
stronger
Wee Cycle helps families by linking donated items with
those who can't afford to buy them new. Dana Bare started the Facebook
page in January.
Dana Bare / Wee Cycle Found It was just something that was way way bigger than I ever expected it to be.
So big in fact that Bare is getting close to a thousand followers.
Bare
says: On the site we have ISO lists or In Search Of lists.. We've got
some that are looking for toddler size 4 boy shoes.. if i get that in..
I'll contact this mom say hey I've got these in meet me in town and
I'll get these to you.
Stacy Case says: Weecycle isn't just
about getting--- it's about giving items like this back to the group
when you're finished. It's what keeps the circle going.

Guffey says: The newborn didn't fit her. So I've donated all those
clothes, donated coffee tables.. just stuff I knew other people needed.
The best part? No money ever changes hands.
Dana Bare
says: I don't have a lot and I don't have a lot to give, but I did have
time and I have a whole lot of energy so I came up with the idea.
