WZTV FOX17 :: RAW NEWS: Budget Battle That Put School on Hold has a Chance to End Tonight
The Sumner County Board of Education decided to close schools indefinitely because they want more money from the Sumner County Commission. Members are meeting tonight to decide if the $2 million commissioners agreed to provide this week is enough. If the budget stand-off continues, it could impact sports like football. Players can practice, but they can't play actual games. Paul Rogan's grandson has a game a week from tonight and he says parents won't be happy if it's cancelled.

"Pretty upset I will. I mean it shouldn't happen," says Rogan. "It just shouldn't happen, you know. Our kids are the most important thing going."

If schools miss 20 days or more, the entire football season could be in jeopardy.RAW NEWS: Budget Battle That Put School on Hold has a Chance to End Tonight
