Tonight we have news of a medical breakthrough that could literally change the lives of thousands of people. Researchers at Vanderbilt University say they are a giant step closer to learning how to cure or prevent Pancreatic Cancer. The discovery is as small as a cell in the Pancreas, but it has opened the door for a change worldwide in the prognosis of a disease known as a quick killer. Vanderbilt University Cell & Developmental Biology Professor Chris Wright believes they may have isolated the cell that forms Pancreatic cancer: the Acinar cell.
