TBI's Most Wanted
She disappeared without a trace more than 20 years ago.
Police think Judy Ehmke was killed but they need your help to prove it.
Wilma Adams says: "She was a good person, a very good person. She was good to them kids"
Wilma Adams is talking about her friend and neighbor Judy Ehmke.
Ehmke lived in a tiny waterfront home near the Davidson-Cheatham county line and in November of 1986 the TBI says Ehmke just dropped off the face of the earth.
Kristin Helm says: "She went to work, worked an overnight shift at a nursing home where she worked, got picked up by her husband that morning and never was seen again."
Ehmke's husband told police she ran off with another man leaving her 3 children behind.
But police and prosecutors think Ehmke was killed.
Bob Wilson says: "Apparently she was in the process of getting a divorce or potentially talking to an attorney about getting a divorce. That was a few days before she would have picked up her paycheck. She then disappears. Now if you're going to leave, you're going to take your paycheck with you"
Scott Couch: "Neighbors say authorities canvassed the entire area right after the disappearance and they say at one point, the missing woman's husband actually implicated his closest neighbor"
Helen Richardson says: "Her husband told police my husband had taken her to Michigan to meet a boyfriend. He told em' no. Told em' where he was that day and that he could prove it"
Ehmke's home burned down a few years ago, and the nursing home where she worked has changed names.
But her disappearance continues to haunt her friends and authorities who want to solve the mystery of what happened to Judy Ehmke.
Judy Ehmke was born in 1946.
She has brown hair and eyes, is 5'8 and 170 pounds.
If you have any information about her disappearance call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
