Lighting of the Green-Stacy McCloud
It was a night of tradition and giving at Lipscomb University Tuesday night for the 5th annual Lighting of the Green.
There are 40 trees on display which are there for the Branches of Love.
They will be donated to families in need.
Musical guests included Amy Grant, Guy Penrod, Buddy Greene and the Annie Moses Band. Joining Grant on state for the free concert- the Lipscomb Student Chorus and the one and only Brenda Lee. Lee says, "The people have supported it since 1958. Can you believe that? I can't believe that song is over 50 years old. It's been a blessing to me and I just love that other people love it as much as I do." The concert serves as a charity fundraiser for Branches of Love but also for Second Harvest Food Bank.
All attendees were asked to bring a non par food item to help Second Harvest reach their holiday goal of 300,000 pounds of food in just 30 days. Lighting of the Green-Stacy McCloud
