New Year's Eve Events-Stacy McCloud
There's a lot going on in Nashville on New Year's Eve.
From one side of Nashville to the other, venues are going all out to ensure you ring in the new year right. Downtown, the Hard Rock Cafe is hoping you start a tradition with a free street party featuring fireworks, country music stars on a big outdoor stage and a 10 foot LED lit custom made Gibson Guitar that will drop 85 feet at midnight. Also downtown, the Wildhorse Saloon is bringing in Jeffrey Steele to perform.
Tickets for that start at $50.
As always, there's never a cover at the lower Broadway honky tonks, but if country is not your thing and you still want to be downtown, for $25 check out Nashville's Piano Bar, Big Bang.
Want to avoid the downtown crowd?
Try Demonbreun.
From tried and true spots like Tin Roof and Dan McGuineess, to newbie Red Rooster, there are plenty of places to party. If you're looking for a family friendly atmosphere, try Roumers East.
For $60 per person, you will get a five course meal.
Seating is available at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm, but availability is going fast. And speaking of food, the folks behind Lime, Virago and Whiskey Kitchen are only charging $30 to party all night at all three of their venues. Just down the road the Gulch is guaranteed to be hopping.
If you want to see a rock show, for $30, American Bang and Luna Halo will help you ring in the new year at 12th and Porter.
Or you can dance the night away at Mai. Starting at $25, the upscale lounge is combining with Nashville's premier monthly party, "Happy Valley" to bring you two very different parties for the price of one. No matter where you choose to ring in 2010, one thing's for sure- you can't use the excuse that there's no place to go.
A couple of tips for you- make sure and check with the establishment of your choice about age restrictions and price changes, many charge more the night of at the door. New Year's Eve Events-Stacy McCloud
