This year's auditions kick off with a host of A-listers- replacing Paula Abdul, who bowed out last year.
Stars like Avril Lavigne, Mary J. Blidge, Shania Twain and Victoria Beckham, go across the country with old friends Randy, Simon and Kara, who's back for her second season.
Idol kicks things off in Boston, MA next Tuesday with a 2 hour premiere.
Then on Wednesday, Idol looks for the hottest Hotlanta has to offer.
Comedian and talk show host Ellen Degeneres will be at the judges table this season- she joins the show in February.
