The River Within-Stacy McCloud

If you're in the mood for a good family movie, you may want to check out "The River Within."

The movie features a long time Nashville musician as one of the lead characters.

To watch t he trailer for the independent film, "The River Within,"
you'd think Craig Morris is an experienced actor.

But that's hardly the case.

Before now, Morris had never even read a script.

But he is a performer, an accomplished singer, songwriter and pianist, and a man who has done it all in the music business.

He's toured with Ronnie McDowell, wrote chart topping songs, had a sweet gig with Donnie and Marie Osmond and spent ten years as harmony singer on Nashville Now.

"Sang with all my heroes .. Charlie Rich, Johnny Cash .. been good friends with Sara Cannon who was Minnie Pearl."

To top it all off, in the mid 1990's, Morris became the lead singer of the band "4 Runner."

"Had about 5 chart songs .. biggest one was Cains Blood .. sings and that got us on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and touring with Tim and Faith and Kenny Rogers."

These days, Morris finds himself on stage playing piano for Loretta Lynn.

28 years as an entertainer and now proud to add, acting to his resume.

"It takes place in summer in small southern town, revolves around a church and it's youth group. All of the main characters are flawed with real life problems and challenges myself included as the preacher."

An inspirational movie that dares to ask the loaded question, Why Am I Here?

"We in our minds decide what our purpose is and sometimes god has another plan that doesn't have anything to do with our plan."

Morris says it's a movie that will leave you looking at your own life.

"I think you will feel all range of emotions when watch, come out with a kick in your step and relate to the characters because it's real."
