The Cleveland Show-Stacy McCloud
FOX is in for an exciting season of brand new shows-including a new animated series.
"The Cleveland Show" is a spin off of the sometimes controversial show "Family Guy."
But this time around, producers and cast say it's actually family friendly.
This is no doubt going to be a funny show.
We got a sneak peek of what we can expect from this lighter and less controversial animated series. Cleveland Brown is packing his bags and heading home to Stoolbend, Virginia. In this first ever Family Guy spin off, we get to see a wackier side of Cleveland and a brand new Cleveland Jr. "In the past he was a hyper active 6 year old. Now he is 14 and heavy set and very sweet." With a new town comes the rekindling of old flames.
Cleveland gets married to his high school sweetheart who has two kids of her own. A blended family that brings a tell it like it is Brady Bunch approach. Yo can expect all the Family Guy flashbacks and celebrity references. And of course, celebrity appearances, including country music's most hated rapper. "He plays locally famous rapper Kenny West, the coolest kid in the town, in Stoolbend, VA where the show is set. He gets in a rap battle with Cleveland junior in 1st season."
No plans for an animated Taylor Swift, but they do believe Music City will enjoy the show. "For Nashville the show has a lot of music, it's different than FG showtune music." The producer says the show is focused on being family friendly- he's even going to allow his 9 year old to watch it.
Since there is adult humor in the show, parents may still want to preview it first. The Cleveland Shows premieres this Sunday at 7:30pm right after the season premiere of the Simpsons. The Cleveland Show-Stacy McCloud
