Most Wanted - Simpson

Some people make a mistake and learn from it. Others keep going down the wrong road. Tonight's TBI most wanted suspect falls into that second category.

Bobby Simpson looks tame enough in his driver's license photo but like the old saying, looks can be deceiving. He's wanted right now for violating his probation. But the TBI says Simpson has done hard time for violent crimes. One of the worst was in 2000 when he turned himself in to Gallatin Police after nearly killing a man.

Kristin Helm, TBI spokeswoman says, “Mr. Simpson went and got a gun from his car because he said someone was threatening him. He fired it and shot a victim in the abdomen."

Since his first arrest, Simpson has been booked at least 4 other times. Everything from drugs, to aggravated assault, to probation violation. But he's been off the law enforcement radar since 2005. That's when he was busted for aggravated assault.
Where he is now, police can't be sure but they believe he's still in the area.

Kristin Helm says, “His last known address is Gallatin and all of his charges are out of the Sumner County area. He has family and friends in the Gallatin area and that's probably where he is."

Bobby Simpson was born in 1970. He's 6'1 and about 185 pounds. If you see him, call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
