TBI Most Wanted - March 15, 2008

A love triangle that nearly ended in murder is the storyline behind this week's TBI's most wanted.

Authorities have been looking for Johnitta Easley for more than 6 years. In 2000, she pleaded guilty to trying to rundown her boyfriend after he walked another woman up to a house on Woodshire Drive in Smyrna.

Officer Gary Shoon Smyrna PD says, “She attempted to run over the male subject once. He ducked out of the way and she continued on through the yard and back onto the street. She went down the street, turned around and came back at him."

Police say Easley missed again and ended up crashing into a tree.

“She did say that she was angry over the other female. I asked her what her intention was and she said it was to kill him that night."

Kristin Helm with the TBI says, “The worst thing about this story is not only that she assaulted him with the vehicle but she had a 14-month-old baby boy in the front seat, unrestrained when she was chasing him and hit him."

Easley was sentenced to 4-years supervised probation but failed to comply with any of the conditions which is why the TBI is looking for her now.

Easley's last known address is in north Nashville and the TBI believes she is still in that area.

Johnitta Easley was born in December of 1978. She's 5'1” and about 150 pounds. If you've seen her, call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
