Robert Gwin - 5/3/08

A hardened criminal who won't be taken easily.
That's how authorities describe one wanted man.
The TBI says if you see Robert Gwin in person, you'd do well to walk the other way.
Kristin Helm says... "His criminal history dates back to 1969. Now in 72' he was convicted and sentenced to 100 years. However, he only served about 6 years of that prison sentence and then was released."
Gwin has been in and out of prison for violent crimes most of his adult life.
His most recent scrape in september of 2007 began in front of the "M" building of this apartment complex on Creekwood Drive in Nashville.
"He went up to the car and threatened them. They took off trying to get away from him. He followed them and chased them in his vehicle."
The chase ran up Broadmoar and then down Ellington Parkway toward downtown.
"The chase ended here on hart lane in east Nashville, ironically in the shadow of the TBI.
The victims say Gwin pulled up alongside their car, pulled out a gun and fired two shots"
"Luckily the two people were not injured by bullets. However, they did have some shattered glass and some minor scrapes and scratches"
Police say Gwin has Tennessee contacts in Nashville and as far away as Memphis and could be splitting time between the two cities.
Robert Gwin was born in 1953.
He's 6'3" and weighs about 220 pounds and sometimes uses the alias Farid Hasan.
If you see gwin, call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
