Montgomery Co. Residents Picking Up the Pieces - Erika Kurre
Many storm victims in montgomery county are wondering... What to do next.
Storm victim Ricky Mixon says, "you don't know what to do. I'm glad i've got a lot of friends."
A collapsed pavillion-- what was the site of this year's rodeo-- is hard to miss when driving through Clarksville.
NWS Surveyer Jerry Orchanian says, "Trees are snapped. The debris was strewn about 360 degrees. The pavillion was completely destroyed."
The storm hit Clarksville after it left it's mark in palmyra around 12:30 saturday morning.
Orchanian says, "it looks like probably another ef1 tornado. Same storm complex that blew the mobile home across the road."
Jennifer Rewczuk, her boyfriend Jeremy and their son J... Were in their home when it was rolled twice by the wind.
"As soon as the house began to shake, I ran to my son's room, jumped on top of him. And as it started to roll, all I could do was pray to god that my family would be okay."
"Once the home stopped rolling, Jeremy was trapped in this bedroom. His only way out was crawling through a hole underneath the mattress."
Meanwhile, Jennifer and her son were stuck in his bedroom.. and had to wait to be rescued.
"Every time the lightning flashed, I could actually see where my exits were and there was no way of getting out.. so I just started screaming."
Ricky Mixon came home from work around the same time... to find his home torn in half.
"I took the back way around and went around the curve and saw my house all out in the road."
Several people suffered minor injuries.
Officials say it's a miracle no one was killed.
"God was holding my family in his hands."
