Child Killed With His Mother's Gun - Sky Arnold
Authorities say it's possible the 8 year old boy who was killed in a gun accident may not have been holding the weapon.
Pema Dearaujo died at the Macon County General Hospital after being shot in the back of the head Sunday night.
Authorities in neighboring Clay County say it's possible that shooting happened while the boy's mother was unloading the gun.
The family lives near the rural Clay County community of Hermitage Springs.
The boy's principal tells us the news was tough for some of his classmates and teachers to handle.
Officials with the TBI are now looking into the shooting.
They tell us as of now they can only say it was an accident.
