Severe Weather Damages Lawrence County - Cindy Carter
The National Weather Service says a tornado may have touched down in Lawrence County Thursday afternoon. Most of the damage is along Clax Branch Road near Lorretto.
One building was destroyed and three others damaged. Workers spent the afternoon clearing trees from roads and restoring power to several homes and businesses.
Ruby Campbell's house is a total loss and she says her bathtub probably saved her life. "After I heard that roar, I just left the front door and I just was going to leave and after I saw it was getting rough outside, i went back and got in the bathtub and didn't move."
Authorities say the storm left about a three mile path of damage in Lawrence County.
