Soldiers Remembered
It's been one of the deadliest months in recent memory for Ft. Campbell soldiers fighting overseas. Ten were killed in Iraq, two in Afghanistan, the first time a member of the Screaming Eagles has died in Afghanistan.
Wednesday 22 year old SPC Jeremy Gullett of Greenup, KY and 25 year old SSG Kevin Roberts of Farmington, NM were killed when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Those on post work to stay focused on the job ahead. But for family members of SPC Jeremy Gullett, coming to terms with the loss will not be easy, "the one thing I'd like to know is if the government could tell me why we're over there, nobody knows why we're over there... and that bothers me,' Harold Gullett said.
SPC Jeremy Gullett had a passion for firefighting, but always wanted to be in the army his father Harold said.
SPC Gullett leaves behind a wife, 21 month old daughter and a 6 year old daughter he was in the process of adopting.
