Pegram Property Dispute - Erika Lathon
An elderly Pegram couple says they'll have no place to live if they're forced out by their landlord.
William and Christine Murdock say on a fixed income they can't afford to live anywhere other than a home on Old Pond Creek Road.
The property owner, James Johnson says last week the Ashland City Codes Department gave him ten days to clean up the property or the house would be condemned.
He says the Murdock's have been getting by without working plumbing and the property is littered with years of junk collected by the couple.
He says the cleanup so far has cost him more than $3,500 dollars.
Johnson says he can't repair the home or completely clean up the property until the Murdock's move out.
He says otherwise the home will be condemned for demolition.Pegram Property Dispute - Erika Lathon
