The owner of Streetcars Automotive in Gallatin is fighting to keep his American and Tennessee State Flags flying.
A city sign ordinance restricts how decorative flags can be displayed but there are no restricts on civic flags including the American and State flag.
City planner Jim Svoboda says there have been complaints from other business owners who want to display decorative flags in a manner similar to the flags at Streetcars.
