200 lbs of Marijuana Seized in Drug Raid
One person is arrested after Metro police discover 200 pounds of marijuana during a drug raid at a home in south Nashville.
The raid took place on East Thompson Lane and Browning Drive early Thursday morning.
Metro Police Captain Michele Donegan said officers received information that a large amount of marijuana was scheduled to be delivered to a home in the area.
"They did locate approximately 200 pounds of marijuana, $19,500 in cash. They also seized a 2004 Ford Dooley, as well as a 40 foot travel trailer that had the bulk of the marijuana hidden inside," said Donegan.
The man arrested in the case is charged with felony possession with the intent to sell.
It's not known if any more arrest will be made in the case.
Crime Suppression Unit officers at the South Precinct conducted the raid.
In addition to Metro police, the Judicial Drug Task Force and a drug dog assisted in the raid. 200 lbs of Marijuana Seized in Drug Raid
