Oreck Moves HQ to Nashville

Middle Tennessee has landed the headquarters of another major manufacturer.

Oreck is moving its corporate HQ to Nashville.

The vaccum maker moved its manufacturing, research and development and call center to cookeville in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina destroyed a plant in Mississippi.

Now, executive offices are joining those operations in middle Tennessee.

Oreck's operations will be based in a buidling near Nashville International Airport.

Chairman Tom Oreck says Nashville is a geographically central location for the company.

For most of it's 45 year history Oreck has been headquartered in New Orleans. Oreck Moves HQ to Nashville
