Cumberland County School Board Sued
The Cumberland County Board of Education is facing a lawsuit to force them to open school.
Cumberland County Mayor Brock Hill filed the lawsuit.
Last Friday, Board of Education members met and voted to indefinitely delay classes because of a 3-million dollar budget shortfall.
Hill's lawsuit alleges that special meeting violated the state open meetings law and is therefore illegal.
The board of education holds a work session on this budget problem tomorrow morning at 10-a-m at their board room at the central office.
